Egalitarian inequality: Gender equality and pattern bargaining

This article analyzes the role of collective wage-setting institution “pattern bargaining” in maintaining gendered hierarchies labor market and gender pay gap Norway. The is considered a main cause gap, yet current research policy has not examined relation to way sectoral wages are set. Norway an interesting case because its model equality highly esteemed globally. However, although system creates overall more egalitarian wage structure than other advanced industrial countries, it built-in inequality that part discussion on resolving gap.
